PEOPLE MOVES: Bravura, Columbia Threadneedle, Gresham House

CEO to step down from financial software firm, as asset manager lines up post -acquisition leadership team

Bravura Solutions

Tony Klim is to step down as chief executive of the financial software solutions firm on 3 September after 13 years with the company, including 10 in the top job.

No further details were given about why Klim is leaving the business.

His successor has been named as Bravura’s global chief operating officer Nick Parsons, who joined the firm as chief technology officer in 2007.

Megan Owen will subsequently be promoted to global chief operating officer. She has over 25 years’ experience in the IT industry.

Columbia Threadneedle Investments

Richard Watts, Stewart Bennett and David Logan are to be added to Columbia Threadneedle Investment’s expanded leadership team following its acquisition of the BMO Financial Group’s Emea asset management business.

Completion is expected in the fourth quarter of this year and the appointments remain subject to regulatory approvals.

Watts will become chief investment officer, Emea and oversee Columbia Threadneedle’s investment function in the region. He is currently chief investment officer for BMO GAM.

Bennett will be appointed to the new role of global head of alternatives, from his current role as global head of alternatives at BMO GAM.

Finally, Logan will become global chief operating officer, another new role. He was most recently global head of distribution at BMO GAM.

Bennett and Logan will report to chief executive Ted Truscott.

Gresham House

The alternative asset manager has hired a duo for its strategic equity team, which is run by UK equity specialist Ken Wotton.

Amber Stone-Brown and Cassie Herlihy join the team will work across Gresham House’s UK equity funds, including the LF Gresham House UK Multi Cap Income Fund, Strategic Equity Capital plc and the Baronsmead VCTs.

Stone-Brown joins from EY’s UK financial services strategy and transactions team, where she specialised in the banking, capital markets and insurance sectors, as well as wealth and asset management. During that time she also qualified as a chartered accountant.

Herlihy was part of the corporate broking team at Citi prior to joining Gresham House, and previously spent two and a half years at Investec. She has experience advising listed UK listed companies across the market cap spectrum in areas such as investor engagement, corporate transactions and capital raising activity.
