PEOPLE MOVES: Blacktower, Deutsche Bank, Continental

Advice firm bolsters Cayman arm with senior hires, while banking giant names group head of wealth in Asia

Blacktower Financial Management Cayman

The advice group’s Cayman entity has made two senior hires to expand its presence on the island.

Jim McLean and Chris Shaw have become head of private wealth and chief compliance officer, respectively.

McLean worked at Fidelity Cayman, Barclays, Axa and Coutts, while Shaw was head of compliance at Fidelity Cayman.

Deutsche Bank

Esther Wong will take on the role of managing director and group head of wealth management in southeast Asia at Deutsche Bank.

She will be based in Singapore and start in January 2023.

Wong joins from JP Morgan, where she spent more than a decade working with ultra-high net worth clients.

Continental Group

The Dubai-based financial services provider has recruited Andrew Cole as director of sales.

Cole was previously head of sales at Zurich in the UAE and chief executive of advice firm Prosperity.

Hawksford

The global private client and fund services provider has made three senior promotions.

Steve Spybey has become group chief operating officer; Caroline Morris has taken on the role of group chief financial officer; and Rachel Husbands has been promoted to financial director for Jersey.

Indosuez Wealth Management

Alexandre Ledouble has been promoted to chief financial officer at the wealth arm of Credit Agricole Group, based in Paris.

He has been at Credit Agricole since 2019 as head of capital management and resolution planning for the group’s finance division.

Farro Capital

The newly established family office has named Sarada Yechuri as executive director in Singapore.

She was most recently at Bank of Singapore, where she worked in the family office team.

Evelyn Partners

The wealth management group has hired Annabel Kerley as head of fraud and financial crime.

She was a senior investigator at both the Serious Fraud Office and the Financial Conduct Authority and joins Evelyn from boutique forensic firm StoneTurn.

Kerley will be tasked with building and growing the firm’s forensic services practice.
