Barclays WIM
Julian Cooper has stepped down as managing director of Barclays Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) after 23 years with the bank.
The bank confirmed Cooper’s departure but declined to provide further details.
Edmond de Rothschild
Roderick Munster, the former chief executive of pure play asset management firm Robeco, has been named global chief executive for asset management at Edmond de Rothschild, following the departure of Laurent Tignard.
Tignard is leaving the firm to pursue other opportunities having joined from HSBC Global Asset Management in 2013.
Bedrock
Global investment and advisory firm Bedrock has appointed Alexander Classen as managing partner with immediate effect.
He joins from Coutts where he was chief executive of the bank’s international business. Prior to that he worked with Pictet, Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley.
Classen will be based in Zurich where a new Bedrock office and team will be constituted over the next few months.
Invesco Perpetual
Sebastian Mackay is to join Invesco Perpetual’s multi asset team as a fund manager in September 2016. He joins from Standard Life Investments (SLI) where he was an investment director/portfolio manager on its absolute return global bond strategy.
Mackay started his career in 2000 at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) where he held a number of roles before joining SLI in 2011.
Sarasin & Partners
Sarasin has appointed Kwai San Wong as stewardship analyst with immediate effect. Kwai San will be supporting head of stewardship, Natasha Landell-Mills.
He joins from BMO Global Asset Management EMEA, where he worked as an analyst in the governance and sustainable Investment team for five years.
