Aberdeen Asset Management

Vance Duigan has been appointed chief operating officer, Asia Pacific by Aberdeen AM. He succeeds Andrew Narracott, who will retire later this year after a decade with the firm, reports online news provider AsianInvestor.

Formerly of Goldman Sachs AM, Duigan joined Aberdeen on 3 April in Singapore, reporting to Ian Macdonald, deputy head of Asia Pacific.

An Aberdeen spokesperson told AsianInvestor in an email: “In January, Andrew Narracott intimated his desire to retire from the industry. Andrew is currently helping to oversee a smooth transition as a director of Aberdeen Asset Management Asia, but will retire sometime before the end of the year.”

Aberdeen agreed an £11bn ($14.2bn, €13bn) merger with Standard Life in March that is expected to see a consolidation of headcount in regions where both firms have a presence.

Old Mutual Wealth

Old Mutual Wealth has appointed Tim Tookey as chief financial officer, reporting to Paul Feeney, chief executive of OMW, subject to regulatory approval. Tookey is currently a non-executive director of OMW and chairman of its audit committee.

Mark Satchel will become corporate finance director and act as deputy to Tookey. Satchel will remain a member of the OMW executive committee and a director of the board.

Tookey and Satchel will work together to prepare the business for the planned demerger and a listing on the London and Johannesburg Stock Exchanges, as part of Old Mutual managed separation process.

George Reid takes over from Tookey as interim chair of the audit committee.
