Seven Investment Management (7IM)
Dean Proctor will become chief executive of 7IM with effect from 8 April 2019, subject to regulatory approvals.
Proctor has more than 25 years’ experience in financial services, most recently as a managing director at Barclays.
He takes over from co-founder and chief executive Tom Sheridan; who, after 17 years at 7IM, has decided to retire.
Sheridan will be available to ensure a smooth transition and will continue to be involved with 7IM in an advisory capacity.
Quilter Cheviot
The investment management arm of Quilter has hired Tom Lovell as executive director of its Jersey office.
Lovell joins from Rathbones where he was an investment director.
He will report to Tim Childe, head of Quilter Cheviot’s Jersey office and international.
UBS Wealth Management
The Switzerland-based wealth manager has made several changes to its operation in Asia.
Marina Lui has been promoted to head of wealth management (WM) China, where she will be responsible for both Chinese domestic and international clients.
She will also be WM location head in Hong Kong.
Raymond Ang has been appointed head of WM southeast Asia and will also be WM Singapore location head.
Dino Rinaldi will take over Ang’s old position as head of ultra-high net worth southeast Asia.
Other changes in the sector:
- Adeline Chien has become head of WM Hong Kong domestic;
- David Man will be head of WM Taiwan international;
- Frank Niedermann to head WM Asia Pacific – Switzerland; and
- LH Koh becomes head of WM China international.
Vontobel Wealth Management
Annabelle Bryde has been named as head of US, UK, and Scandinavia.
Bryde will join Vontobel on 1 July 2019 from UBS, where she is currently chief of staff global ultra-high net worth.
She will also become a member of the executive board of Vontobel Wealth Management.
Axa Investment Managers
Laurent Clavel has become head of research at Axa Investment Managers.
Clavel was previously head of macroeconomic research.
Based in Paris, Clavel will lead the research team, comprising of euro credit analysts and macroeconomists.
He will report to Gilles Moëc, who will become chief economist of the Axa Group on 3 June 2019.
Indosuez Wealth Management
The global wealth management arm of Crédit Agricole has named Romain Jérome as chief digital officer.
He reports to Jacques Prost, chief executive of Indosuez Wealth Management.
Jérome will be responsible for the digital operation at the firm.
London Wall Partners
The independent financial advisory firm has named Peter Hockless as a senior board adviser.
Hockless is a senior corporate and finance lawyer, whose career spanned more than 25 years as a partner at law firms Allen & Overy and Debevoise & Plimpton.
He will be responsible for overseeing the marketing and business development activities at LWP.
M&G Prudential
The firm has appointed three non-executive directors as part of its preparations to demerge from Prudential.
Caroline Silver joins as the senior independent non-executive director.
She has over 30 years’ experience, most recently as a managing director at investment bank Moelis & Company.
Clive Adamson becomes a non-executive director and chair of the risk committee.
Adamson is a non-executive director of JP Morgan Securities, The Prudential Assurance Company, CYBG and Ashmore Group.
Robin Lawther also joins as a non-executive director and chair of the remuneration committee.
Lawther previously worked at JP Morgan for over 20 years, specialising in mergers and acquisitions and capital raising.
She is a non-executive director of Nordea Bank.
WHIreland
The wealth manager has named Simon Lough as a non-executive director of the company, subject to FCA approval.
He will also serve on the audit, risk and remuneration committees.
Previously, Lough was chief executive of Heartwood.
