The new office will be headed by Janie Chen, who will move from the company’s London office, and Charlotte Plowman who joins from SAIL Advisors. Both are licensed as “Responsible Officers” by Hong Kong regulator, the Securities and Futures Commission.

Stan Miranda, founder and chief executive of Partners Capital, said: “Our clients rely on us to unearth the best investment opportunities in the world. We currently have more than $1bn invested in Asia, but with the region playing an ever increasingly important role in defining the investment environment, we felt the need to expand our research capabilities on the ground in Asia.”

Partners Capital was founded in 2001 and has offices in London, Boston and now Hong Kong, serving investment professionals, endowments, foundations and high net worth families globally. According to the company, it has approximately 300 clients, with over $7bn in assets under management.
