Bruce replaces Marvin Cartwright who is moving to Credit Suisse, and his brief will cover Gibraltar’s two branches, which cover the corporate, international finance and retail sectors.
In his Guernsey post, Bruce’s clients included large private equity funds in the financial institutions sector, and in total he has more than 20 years’ experience in the corporate banking sector with NatWest’s parent organisation, RBS Group in the UK, and RBS International.
His replacement will be “advised very soon as it’s not yet been confirmed”, according to a spokesperson.
Bruce said his appointment happily coincides with the 25th year of the bank’s presence in Gibraltar and that he will be looking after both local resident customers and the corporate sector.
Married with four children, Bruce is now in the process of moving to Gibraltar.
