In the newly created role, which will be split into two positions, Tariq Husain will be based in the company’s recently established Covent Garden office, where he will look to recruit further team members in the near future.

The company said that, in his role as UK managing director, he will be responsible for establishing, managing, and growing its corporate and institutional services in the United Kingdom.

As global head of outsourced business services, he will work to build a global service delivery platform for multinational businesses requiring critical compliance.

Husain has 20 years’ experience in financial services with over 12 spent at TMF Group, most recently as global director of strategic alliances.

On the appointment, Husain said: “This is an exciting opportunity that will allow me to strengthen existing affiliations and build new client relationships in key markets.”

Group managing director of corporate and institutional services, Armin Kirchner, said: “I am very much looking forward to working closely with [Husain] as we build and develop the corporate service line.”

Kirchner joined First Names in June, when the company appointed three group managing directors to support its recent growth.

Mark Pesco also joined as group managing director for private clients, and Mike Lightfoot for leisure services.

At the time, the Isle of Man-headquartered company said it was still looking for a group managing director for its funds business.

First Names has more than doubled in size since its management buyout and rebrand in July 2012, and has said it is restructuring in order to future-proof its capacity.

In the last year, it has made a number of acquisitions, including corporate services provider Temmes, and Mercator in Guernsey.
