Reporting to Julian Ide, head of OMAM global distribution, and based in London, Lebleu is tasked with furthering OMAM’s efforts to “build core distribution competencies in non-US markets” where it believes the firm can “meaningfully contribute to its affiliates’ global expansion efforts”.

OMAM said it also plans to add resources to its US operations, with additional hires within its consultant relations and defined contribution teams to be announced soon.

Prior to joining OMAM Lebleu was a partner and a member of the investment advisory committee at Stenham (Montier & Partners) and from 2005 to 2008, he was managing director, head of distribution at MFS Investment Management, a Boston and London-based asset management firm.

Of the appointment Ide said:  “Olivier’s relationships with the institutional investment community across Europe and the Middle East will strengthen OMAM’s distribution efforts outside of the U.S. His experience managing teams of distribution professionals will be a significant asset as we harness the benefits of the multi-boutique model for our clients across the globe.”
