Momentum describes the Select Fund Range as an adviser-friendly form of “guided architecture” that helps advisers review the full fund universe available on the Momentum international platform.
It also reduces the options to a manageable number of funds that meet certain defined standards.
The select range currently features 280 funds from major fund managers covering all the main asset classes.
Exchange-traded funds
The fourth quarter update also sees ETFs being incorporated into the range for the first time, with ETFs from managers iShares and SPDR.
The quarterly quantitative screening process provides advisers with reassurance that all funds in the range continue to meet these standards, with 13 funds coming off the previous quarter’s list while over 40 funds and ETFs have been added, Momentum added.
Simplified and streamlined
According to Bryan Low, marketing director of Momentum’s distribution partner Provisca: “The Select Fund Range helps advisers to simplify their business by streamlining their investment decision-making process, while minimising unnecessary risk in their business by choosing from a fund range that has been subjected to a quantitative screening process every quarter.
“It is also very easy to use – advisers simply click on the Select Fund Range button in the Fund Selector section when logged into the Momentum platform and this screens out all other funds.
“Bringing ETFs into the Select range helps the increasing numbers of international advisers who are looking to blend passive and active investment styles in their clients’ portfolios,” Low said.
