A former executive director of ATC Trustees has been reprimanded for misconduct by the Singapore regulator.

According to the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), Caroline van der Meer provided “inaccurate and incorrect statements”, thereby contravening section 72(1) of the Trust Companies Act (TCA). The offences occurred on three dates in February and March this year.

The MAS did not provide further details, but said it expected officers of licenced trust companies “to ensure the accuracy and correctness of any statement submitted under the TCA.”

According to ATC’s website, the firm established its Singapore office in 2004, from which it offers services to private and corporate clients. The ATC group says it is one of the oldest independent global trust companies, with a history stretching back to 1893.
