UK wealth management firm Quilter is reportedly is set to receive acquisition bids from at least four companies, according to Financial Mail on Sunday.
The report said that one of the companies is British banking giant NatWest, which is in the early stages of submitting a takeover offer for the business.
Other companies that have shown interest in Quilter reportedly include private equity firms CVC, Bain Capital and BC Partners.
It is believed a potential sale could value the wealth giant at around £1.4bn ($1.68bn, €1.64bn).
This follows the acquisition of Quilter International in November 2021 by Utmost Group for £480m.
NatWest had previously expressed interest in acquiring wealth group Evelyn Partners – formerly Tilney Smith & Williamson – in April 2022 for around £3bn.
When contacted by International Adviser, Quilter, NatWest, CVC, Bain Capital and BC Partners all declined to comment on the reports.
