Mabel Insights has launched a free risk profiling tool for financial advisers.

The MPS and multi-asset fund research and comparison hub for advisers was launched in January by former former Atomos distribution head Lawrence Cook.

Since launch, Mabel has used its proprietary risk ratings system to risk score 1,300 DFM portfolios and has added over 1,000 users so far.

The firm plans to provide further enhancement to its services.

Chief executive Cook said: “Having already launched Mabel Risk Ratings its seemed to us a natural extension to provide a risk profile tool which many of our users had asked us about”.

Gaurav Gupta CFA, fellow director and founder of Mabel, added: “Having taken feedback from advisers we are confident that our risk profiling approach will appeal.

“We provide the tool needed to help assess a client’s risk profile and go one step further by helping advisers have meaningful conversations by providing risk examples before finalising the score.

“Our risk rating methodology focusses on what really matters to clients, the risk of losing money, and we assess this over multiple time periods”
