David Morley, who joined the firm in January, has been appointed as head of institutional sales for UK and Nordics, while Dominick Peasley joined last month as head of third party distribution for the two regions.
Both are based in the company’s London office and will report to Marius Wuergler, head of European sales at LOIM.
“Over the last two years we’ve built sales coverage in continental Europe with new teams in Italy, France and Benelux, so the UK market is a natural extension of this growth,” said Wuergler. “On the institutional side we’ve seen notable successes with our smart beta solutions while our third-party business to private banks and distributors is expanding through a range of funds with strong track records.”
Geneva-headquartered LOIM, a subsidiary of Lombard Odier & Cie, managed CHF38bn ($42bn) on behalf of clients at the end of December 2012.
The business offers clients a range of products including single hedge fund strategies, thematic investments, risk-balanced asset allocation and fundamentally-weighted fixed income products.
The Lombard Odier Group has 164bn francs under management and a presence in the world’s main financial centres which includes a network of 25 offices in 18 countries.
