Life insurer adds cancer ‘guardian’ offering to clients

It gives ‘increased peace of mind and assurance’ following a diagnosis

|

Providence Life Assurance Company (Bermuda) has agreed a partnership deal with US-based healthcare provider Wamberg Genomic Advisors.

The deal will allow Providence clients to gain access to WGA’s Cancer Guardian programme.

It gives its members access to personalised cancer guidance, onsite nurse advocates, a second opinion pathology review, a digital medical records platform, and advanced genomic testing through the cancer support programme.

The programme delivers access to advanced services and technology that Providence states are not typically offered, or reimbursed, by health insurance.

Daniel Gray, chairman and chief executive of Providence, commented: “Cancer Guardian is a programme that we were pleased to offer to every client. It gives our clients increased peace of mind and assurance should cancer unfortunately strike.”
