Green’s specialist role was one of 600 redundancies that resulted from the merging of Legal & General’s risk and savings businesses to form the Legal & General Assurance Society (LGAS).

John Chew, who is LGAS’s product and funds director, has taken over Green’s responsibilities as part of a wider brief, a Legal & General spokesman said.

Green, who is a fellow of the Personal Finance Society and sits on International Adviser’s tax and technical panel, is understood to be currently doing consultancy work.
