Based in the capital, Chris Marson will be responsible for progressing the company’s UK business and will act as an ambassador for the company within the Kreston worldwide network.

Marson has more than 25 years’ experience in offshore companies and has held positions at Scottish Provident, Lombard, and, most recently, as partner at Newport Capital.

Kreston Pensions chief executive David Pope said: “We now have someone representing us on the ground in London, which continues our expansion in the UK following recent business acquisitions.

“Alongside [Marson’s appointment], we believe that our pension offering both on the island and via our Gibraltar office is a real addition to the range of Kreston services.”

Kreston Pensions offers a range of pension products including International Pensions Schemes, Qualifying Recognised Overseas Pension Schemes (QROPS), Self-invest personal pensions, and independent trustees.

The company was formed in May last year when Kreston IOM, the Isle of Man’s representative of Kreston International, received approval from the Isle of Man Insurance and Pensions Authority to become a registered pension schemes administrator.

In June last year, it launched its first QROPS.

Kreston International is a global network of independent accounting firms with 186 member firms employing over 20,000 staff in over 108 countries.
