JP Morgan has appointed a new head of its Middle East private banking team.

Jonathan Conner, who was previously a senior banker within the Middle East team, is tasked with increasing the company’s footprint in the region and building on the “strength if the firm;s franchise in the Middle East”. Based in Geneva he will report to Pablo Garnica, head of JP Morgan Private Bank of EMEA.

Conner replaces Paolo Moscovici, who is now head of the emerging markets team.

JP Morgan has also hired Ramsey Jallad as an executive director and senior banker for the team. Jallad will primarily concentrate on advising and cultivating relationships with private clients in the Middle East region, with a particular focus on Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman. Based in London, he will report to Conner.
