Jersey arm of ABN Amro names Chambers to head up investment services

ABN Amro Bank of Jersey has named Chris Chambers to head up its investment services operation.

Chambers had been senior investment manager and head of the Jersey investment desk at SG Hambros. At ABN Amro, he succeeds Stephen LeLievre, who has left the company. In his new role, Chambers will be involved in handling investment matters for the discretionary and advisory portfolios of the bank’s local and international high-net-worth clients,

During his 11 years at SG Hambros, Chambers represented the SG Bond Committee and set its strategy.

Chambers was born in Belfast but grew up in Jersey. He will be based at ABN Amro House on Castle Street in St Helier.

Amsterdam-based ABN Amro is part owned by the Dutch government following the collapse of Fortis in 2009.
