IFA group acquires UK financial advice company

It is the firm’s third deal and has two more in the pipeline

Yorkshire-headquartered Financial Framework Wealth & Estate Planning Ltd has bought Crawley-based IFA company MJH The Independent Financial Adviser for an undisclosed sum.

The deal brings brings Financial Framework’s assets under management to almost £200m ($252m, €228m).

MJH was founded by Mike Herdman.

This is the firm’s third acquisition with another two currently in its pipeline.

Simon Jones, chief executive of Financial Framework, said: “As a growing business, we are continually looking for existing businesses to bring into the Financial Framework fold.

“From the moment, we started talking to Mike Herdman about a potential acquisition we knew that there were clear synergies. Mike has developed an excellent business and, like us, puts a huge amount of stock in personal, bespoke service. The acquisition has always felt like a natural fit, so we are delighted to have completed the purchase.”
