Newcastle-based Perspective Financial Group has made its fourth acquisition of 2019 and its 35th since the advisory group was founded in 2008.
It has purchased Goodman Financial Planning (Goodman FP) based in Marlborough, Wiltshire.
The firm was founded and run by Peter Goodman, who is retiring after 25 years.
Goodman FP has £20m (€24.8m, €22.3m) of assets under management and will become part of the Perspective’s existing office in Marlborough.
Consolidator of choice
Ian Wilkinson, group managing director of Perspective, said: “This acquisition is consistent with our overall growth strategy to acquire quality client banks from retiring IFAs local to our existing office network, as well as opening new hubs in other carefully selected locations.
“It reinforces our position as the consolidator of choice for IFA’s looking to retire and exit the industry.
“We believe our offering for these types of business is very compelling with our strong client-centric, ethical approach providing an excellent home for the retiring IFA’s clients, and our appealing deal structure.”
In May, the firm acquired London-based wealth manager Thornton Springer Financial Services for an undisclosed fee.
It also recently bought IFA business Investment Principles for an undisclosed fee in February 2019.
