Kleinwort Benson has appointed Lucy Gazmararian, a former executive director at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, as head of investment advisory.

In her new role, Gazmararian will be responsible for bringing forward the investment team’s best ideas and working with advisors to “articulate these to clients”. She will report to chief investment officer Mouhammed Choukeir.

At Goldman Sachs, Gazmararian was part of a global team which worked in partnership with portfolio managers to advise clients on investment strategies and opportunities. She previously worked in the asset management and private banking businesses at Schroders and spent her early career working in journalism.

In addition, Kleinwort has appointed Andrew Thompson as head of multi-asset investing. In his new role, Thompson will oversee the management of Kleinwort Benson’s multi-asset funds and work closely with the investment team to generate multi-asset and global investment opportunities for discretionary and advisory clients. He was previously head of advisory portfolio management, and will work closely with Gazmararian in her new role.
