Financial advisory firm Globaleye has a new managing director (global) in the form of Byron Murphy.

Based in Singapore, Murphy has worked in international financial services for almost 20 years. His focus and experience has largely been within the high net worth expat arena in south-east Asia.

Having held several executive and directorship level appointments, he has most recently been heading up the private wealth management proposition for Globaleye’s Singapore business.

In his expanded role, Murphy will assume full responsibility for the leadership and development of Globaleye’s global business. He holds the internationally recognised Certified Financial Planner (CFP) accreditation.

Having been based in Singapore for the past 17 years, Murphy spoke to International Adviser last year about the opportunities for advisers in the city-state.

Ambitious growth plans

Tim Searle, chairman of Globaleye, said: “Byron’s track record, international experience, and contacts in the profession are second to none and we are thrilled to have him step up. He brings with him incredibly strong knowledge and experience which will be vital as we continue our ambitious plans to grow and develop financial solutions for our clients.”

Murphy added: “Globaleye has a deserved reputation as the leading financial advisory in the offshore financial services market place. We have a tremendous opportunity to grow further and continue to diversify into new sectors, bringing our strong business values and service delivery to match the demands and rightly high expectations of our clients.

“We at Globaleye are in an excellent position to capitalise on the growth opportunities presented by improving markets. Globaleye’s brand, values and proven delivery models are great facets, I am excited at the opportunity to be a key element in driving the company to the next level.”
