FWD Group raises $200m ahead of Hong Kong IPO

Investors have reportedly put $1.6bn into the company in a month

Asian insurer FWD Group has raised $200m (£148m, €177m) in funding ahead of its planned Hong Kong initial public offering (IPO), according to Reuters.

Reports said that the the two investors participated in a private placement.

This means that FWD Group has raised $1.6bn in the past month after the company ditched its US IPO plans.

In December 2021, the insurer raised $1.4bn in private placements from investors.

International Adviser has contacted FWD Group, but it did not reply in time for publication.
