The Federation of European IFAs has partnered with IFA Life, a UK-based social networking website for independent financial advisers, planners and wealth managers.

IFA Life serves as an “online community” for over 7,000 financial advisers, FEIFA said. Among other things, members can use the site as a platform to network, share best practice, debate industry issues, search for and advertise jobs, and find marketing tips.

In addition, a continental Europe forum allows IFAs to share best practice across international borders. “With an ever-increasing EU-focus on financial regulation and distribution, it makes absolute sense that the main IFA companies operating on the Continent should become a part of this online community,” said FEIFA.

The partnership is the latest in a series of such agreements announced by FEIFA. As International Adviser reported in September, the association joined forces with Sterling Associates – a firm which specialises in the global relocation of financial services workers.

FEIFA, a non-profit trade association for English-speaking advisers, represents more than 300 IFAs advising on assets in excess of €2.5bn ($3.4bn).
