Well-known Asia industry figure Chris Faddy has joined Credit Suisse as managing director and head of non-Japan Asia distribution for asset management.

Faddy, who previously worked for Barclays Capital as Asia head of distribution for the asset management business, will be based in Singapore and report to Will Britten, Asia Pacific head of distribution, asset management.

He will lead the distribution of investment management services and solutions targeting sovereign wealth funds, institutional investors and third-party distribution channels in non-Japan Asia.

Britten said: “I am confident that his wealth of experience working with institutional clients in Asia will be a significant contribution to our business.”

Prior to his time at Barclays Capital, Faddy was an executive director at Goldman Sachs JB Were, managing key account sales in the asset management business from 2004-2010. He also worked for Skandia Asset Management from 2001 to 2004 as a senior business development manager.

Credit Suisse’s asset management business provides strategic advice, services and products to institutional clients, with expertise in alternative investments, asset allocation and advisory as well as emerging markets.
