London-based Bridgeweave uses a host of tech approaches including machine learning, cognitive science, artificial intelligence, blockchain and big data to provide portfolio insights and help investors make better decisions.

International Adviser understands the start up, which went live in February, is in talks with strategic investors about taking a stake in the tool.

Executive chair Bhargava is joined by director Manoj Saxena who is also executive chair of Cognitive Scale, an augmented intelligence software company.

Bridgeweave has also recruited Naween Balani as head of technology architecture and Sarthak Behura as head of product development.

Balani and Saxena both worked on IBM’s Watson supercomputer project. Behura is a former equity strategist with UBS with a background in quant modelling and data science.

Bruce Keith, Bridgeweave’s chief commercial officer, is its latest recruit who joined in June. He is a former chief executive of Infrahedge, the hedge fund platform (also co-founded by Bhargava) which was acquired by State Street in 2011.
