EFG Asset Management, the fund management arm of EFG International, has re-shuffled its Hong Kong-based senior management team, introducing two new roles.

The company, which has its headquarters in Zurich, has appointed Nigel Sze as head of Asia, while Harman Overdijk has been promoted to the role of head of investments, responsible for discretionary portfolio management across the region.

Sze has been with EFG since 2009, most recently as deputy chief executive of EFG Bank Asia and head of private banking in Hong Kong. Prior to EFG, Sze worked at Citi Global Wealth Management where he was head of high net worth clients, Asia. From 2001 to 2007 he was CEO of Barclays Private Bank, Asia Pacific region.

Overdijk meanwhile, has been with the company since 2008 when he joined EFG Bank in Hong Kong.

“The changes we are making reflect our commitment to the region and our desire to extend our local investment capabilities. They will also enable us to better serve our clients – encompassing private banking clients of EFG Bank, as well as specialist segments served by EFGAM directly.”
