De Ruiter, who takes up her new position on 1 February, will replace American Mary Bennett who has been in the role since 2005.

The OECD said de Ruiter will provide “strategic leadership and analytical input to the centre’s work on transfer pricing, tax treaties and financial transactions”. It added she will also work to continue strengthening ties with non-observed economies (NOEs) and other international and regional organisations on transfer pricing and treaty issues.

Furthermore, the OECD said she will “ensure her area is engaged and contributes to the horizontal projects and joint work with other directorates of the Organisation and advance the strategic objectives of the Secretary-General”.

De Ruiter joins the OECD from the Dutch ministry of finance where she was involved in the development of the transfer pricing, dispute resolution and certainty in advance legislation and policy in the Netherlands, first as an expert and later as the deputy director of the international tax policy and legislation directorate.
