The alliance with Howden Insurance Brokers, which is part of Howden Broking Group, was cemented today and will give deVere’s 80,000 clients direct access to high-end insurance services.

DeVere director, Mike Coady, said the collaboration will draw on the strengths of each company, also giving Howden an extra platform to expand its international footprint.

“DeVere Group and Howden Insurance Brokers’ shared vision for this partnership is driven by the synergy between the two brands,” said Coady. “The focus of both companies is to enhance clients’ lives by offering security and peace of mind.

“In recent times, we have seen growing demand from our high-net-worth clients for the kind of insurances Howden offer, including fine art, jewellery, motor, yacht, private aircraft, overseas property and land, and employee benefits.

“This partnership with Howden will give these clients further choices on how to best manage and mitigate risk and protect what is most important to them.”

In October last year, Nigel Green talked to International Adviser about the greater need for global consolidation in the industry.

The deVere Group currently has more than $10bn (£6.6bn, €8.5bn) under advice and management, specialising in financial solutions for expatriate and high-net-worth individuals.
