Canaccord Genuity WM names international chief executive

He replaces Grahame Lovett who will retire from the role and become executive chairman of CGWM Int’l

Andy Finch has been promoted to chief executive of Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management (CGWM) International, with effect from 1 April 2020.

The role includes oversight of the firm’s businesses in Guernsey, the Isle of Man and Jersey.

He will report to David Esfandi, chief executive of CGWM UK & Europe.

Finch joined CGWM in 2002 and has over 35 years’ experience in the wealth management industry, having previously worked at Zurich and Standard Life.

He has held a number of roles within the business and is currently managing director of CGWM UK & Europe Funds.

In addition; he is also a director of CGIF, an Irish Ucits umbrella fund, and a member of the International division’s executive committee. He will continue in these roles.

Finch succeeds Grahame Lovett, who will be retiring from his current role and assuming the role of executive chairman of the CGWM International division from spring 2020.

In this capacity, Lovett will continue to have an active role regarding the direction and strategy for CGWM business activities in Guernsey, the Isle of Man and Jersey.

Andy Finch was recently featured in the second edition of International Adviser‘s IA100, which seeks to recognise the most influential people in the international wealth management and financial advisory sectors.
