Kevin Addison will be based in the company’s Mayfair office, and will also be in charge of its UK broker desk.
Addison has over 26 years’ experience in the industry and joins the company from SEI Investments, where he was a managing director and head of UK and European asset management distribution. He has also held positions at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership including head of wholesale distribution.
On the appointment, chief executive of Brooks Macdonald Funds, Simon Wombwell, said: “[Addison’s] appointment further reinforces the strength of our fund management proposition, and his wealth of knowledge and contacts will add tremendous value to [the company].”
Brooks Macdonald Funds is the fund management arm of Brooks Macdonald Group, an AIM-listed, integrated, wealth management group.
Earlier this week, Darren Zaman, the former chief executive of DPZ Capital, was appointed the chief executive of Brooks Macdonald International.
He replaces John Davey, who has stepped down to “pursue other business interests” but will continue to work with the business as a consultant over the next one to two years in order to help ensure a structured handover.
DPZ was acquired by Brooks Macdonald earlier this year.
