BlackRock expands income range with GEM offering

BlackRock has launched a Global Emerging Market Equity Income fund to be managed by Dhiren Shah.

The fund will be part of its Luxembourg-based BlackRock Global Funds range and will have UK reporting status. It sits alongside the existing BGF Asia Pacific and Global equity income funds.

Its global equity income proposition was launched in the first quarter of this year, managed by Richard Turnill and Stuart Reeve, along with a Europe (Andreas Zoellinger and Alice Gaskell) and World Resources (Richard Davis, Joshua Freedman and Tom Holl) equity income funds.

This latest offering will be managed by Dhiren Shah who is co-manager of the BlackRock Emerging Markets fund with Daniel Tubbs and Sam Vecht.
