In his new role at Barclays, Darlington will oversee the company’s trust and fiduciary business in Switzerland, which caters for high and ultra-high net worth clients.
Darlington most recently had been head of business development and wealth structuring solutions at Lloyds TSB in Geneva, where he was responsibility for new business development across all markets, and for developing and implementing wealth structuring strategies for HNW and UHNW individuals.
Prior to this he was with Credit Suisse, also in Geneva. At Credit Suisse, he was involved with that bank’s Asia/Middle East operation, and his duties there included managing a portfolio of trusts, foundations and companies and training bank managers on trust and fiduciary products.
Darlington reports to Walter Coxon, Barclays Wealth’s London-based head of wealth structuring.
