Fabian Neo and Chi Lee joined the company this month, to head its foreign exchange advisory and active advisory services respectively.

Neo is responsible for teams in Hong Kong and Singapore, and oversees the execution of all foreign exchange-related products offered through the Barclays Wealth platform. He joined the firm from Credit Suisse, where he was the regional head of North Asia advisory.

As director, head of active advisory and investment solutions for North Asia, Lee is expected to work closely with the firm’s North Asia market head and bankers in the region. His focus is to provide investment and advisory services to high and ultra-high net worth clients.

Lee joined Barclays Wealth from Bank of Montreal, where he was head of private bank Hong Kong and head of wealth management Asia.

Pakorn Boonya-kurkul, the head of North Asia at Barclays Wealth, said the appointments would enable the firm to “further capture the growth of wealth” in Greater China. Barclays Wealth has offices in over 20 countries, and had total client assets of £170bn ($265bn) at the end of June.
