There is ‘no certainty’ a deal can be agreed

Australian wealth manager AMP has confirmed it is in talks with multiple parties over the sale of its investment management unit Collimate Capital.

This comes months after the firm renamed the operation from AMP Capital, and announced plans to demerge the arm.

AMP confirmed in an Australian Stock Exchange statement that one of the businesses in talks with the wealth manager is real estate firm Dexus.

In a separate filing, Dexus confirmed it was engaged with AMP regarding a possible acquisition of the Australian investment management business.

But it added that there was “no certainty” of a deal.
