The plans have been  created in partnership with AWC’s sister company, Allianz China General Insurance, and have been designed to appeal to both international and local Chinese companies, Alliance Worldwide Care said today.

The new range of products had been brought out in response to a noticeable growth in the number of companies “within our client base” which have been expanding their Chinese operations recently, in spite of the economic downturn witnessed in Europe and the US, Claude Daboul, director of sales, marketing and operations at Allianz Worldwide Care, said.

She added that the new healthcare plans are being managed “wholly from within the Allianz Group”, with a priority being placed on service.

Companies choose from a selection of “core” plans, which may be supplemented by a choice of add-ons, such as out-patient, dental and repatriation elements. The policy documents are being made available in both Mandarin and English.

A ’round-the-clock multilingual helpline and an “on-the-ground” doctor for additional support and advice are being made available to policyholders as part of the package, Allianz Worldwide Care said.
