AJ Bell
The UK-based investment platform has rolled out two income funds targeting an annual yield of 4%. However, they have different risk profiles and growth objectives.
AJ Bell Income is on the lower end of the risk spectrum, it aims to offer 4% income every year and maintain the capital value of the investment at the same time.
On the other hand, AJ Bell Income & Growth is a multi-asset income fund with no bond exposure. It carries higher risk and, while it still aims to deliver the same return, it also tries to grow the capital value of the investment in line with inflation.
That, according to the platform, would be achieved by investing in “real assets”, such as property and equities.
Both funds can be held via sipps, Isas and dealing accounts, and will pay investors monthly.
According to AJ Bell, the two funds are designed for advisers and clients who are looking to generate regular income from their investments, and the firm expects them to be popular among those taking advantage of their pension freedoms or taking tax-free income from their Isas.

Wisdomtree has unveiled its Investor Solutions Programme to help investment managers engage more efficiently with their current and perspective clients.
The programme also includes a Digital Portfolio Developer, a tool that helps investors build their portfolios.
It will be available to professional clients on the firm’s website and will allow customers to identify opportunities, improve and stress test portfolios.
The tool is already available in the US and Canada – where it was rolled out in 2017 – and is now accessible to European clients as well.
