Danny Vogt joined yesterday (24 October) from Royal Bank of Scotland/ABN Amro where he was head of change and portfolio development group operations, before which he worked for Capco and UBS.

As COO at Kleinwort Benson, he will be responsible for bank’s operations across the UK, Channel Islands and its international offices, reporting directly to chief executive officer Sally Tennant with a seat on the firm’s executive committee.

Until now, the operations role was carried out by the managing director of one of the business areas but it was felt that a dedicated COO would allow these business managers to focus on their specific areas.

In September, John Boyce joined Kleinwort Benson as chief technology officer, running the IT infrastructure.

These appointments follow those of Mouhammed Choukeir as Kleinwort Benson’s chief investment officer, Jeremy Brown as managing director of wealth management, and Marianne Kafena who will be joining the bank as head of strategic wealth planning in November.
