Deutsche Bank has appointed a new chief operating officer for its Cayman Islands office.

Sophie Ebanks will be responsible for the company’s Cayman operational activities and services, including oversight of its local infrastructure and premises.

Ebanks joined the company’s Cayman office in 2003 in a marketing role within its financial intermediary’s business area.

In 2006 she became a relationship manager before being promoted to head of booking centre services for its Cayman asset and wealth management area in 2012.

Janet Hislop, chief country officer of Deutsche Bank in the Cayman Islands, said: “[Ebanks] is uniquely paced to understand the operation environment we work in. Her experience and knowledge will undoubtedly prove invaluable to the bank in her new role.”
