Ben Moxon, who was previously area sales manager for the UAE and GCC, has been appointed as area sales manager for Old Mutual International Europe.

He decided to relocate his family back to the UK after spending six years in Dubai.

Peter Winder, who previously worked as a sales consultant for Old Mutual Wealth’s UK business, is to take over from Moxon.

Now based in Dubai, Winder will develop relationships with local IFAs and banks to help broaden the insurer’s reach across the UAE and the wider Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

Key partners

“With over 28 years’ experience in financial services, Peter’s understanding and knowledge of the advisory market will be of great value, and will help Old Mutual International strengthen relationships with key distribution partners across the Middle East,” said Old Mutual International’s regional director for the Middle East and Africa, Brendan Dolan.

He said Moxon has been “instrumental” in growing Old Mutual International in the Middle East.

Invaluable

Head of the company’s European operations David Matthews said Moxon will be an “invaluable asset” to the team.

“These two key appointments will ensure that our European distribution is well supported as we seek to further develop the Old Mutual International footprint in Europe,” he said.
