Randall-Coles joins the company from Henderson Global Investors where, according to her Linkedin profile, she had been responsible for the company’s implementation of the new American FATCA tax rules.
Prior to Henderson, Randall-Coles worked at Skandia for more than 10 years in various roles, working closely with Bentley who left to set up his own consultancy in March this year. Bentley was then appointed in June to work for Axa for a fixed term.
In her new role, Randall-Coles will be tasked with building and leading a new commercial function for Axa Wealth, responsible for developing relationships with fund managers. Axa said the new unit will focus on securing the best investment solutions and rates for advisers and their clients – work initiated by Bentley.
The appointment and establishment of the new unit follows a reorganisation within Axa Wealth’s offshore sales team in May, which saw a few roles being made redundant and the company shift its focus away from just IFAs to also include retail private banks and platforms.
Axa Wealth chief executive Mike Kellard said: “The strong RDR-ready business we built was well placed to help advisers adapt to the new environment and thrive during 2013.
“The results from the first half of the year support this. However, the introduction of RDR was not the end of the transformation for the industry. With the advent of new platform rules, greater transparency and the shift to clean share classes we must continue to develop our propositions to provide the best service, and cost, to advisers and clients.”
