The pair previously worked together at Gartmore, and then briefly at Eden Financial before Roberts joined Fidelity in November 2011. Eden Financial was later acquired by City Financial in 2012.

Himsworth is lead manager of the £70m City Financial UK Opportunities Fund, which was merged with UK Select Opportunities Fund in February. It is unknown at this stage who will take over running of the fund when Himsworth leaves.

Roberts currently manages Fidelity’s £94m Global Dividend Fund and is co-manager of its Global Enhanced Income Fund with David Jehan.

Both Fidelity and City Financial declined to comment.

City Financial has however confirmed the departure of sales director Kevin Moderick, who worked on Himsworth’s funds. He also joined the firm from Eden Financial with the transfer of UK Select Opportunities to City Financial in September 2011.
