The company, which is part of Old Mutual Wealth, said it created the new role to enable a more specific focus on UK and international customer propositions.
Hawkins, who has worked at Skandia for more than 15 years, will have responsibility for the development and marketing of the company’s customer propositions including platform, pensions and investment solutions, while Oxenham will now focus solely on international business.
The Southampton-headquartered company said the expansion of its proposition marketing team follows a number of “significant additions” to the company including the launch of the WealthSelect investment proposition in the UK and the international expansion of Wealth Interactive.
On his appointment, Hawkins said: “This is a really exciting time for our business as we set in place our vision of becoming the UK’s leading retail investment business.
“We have taken some key strategic steps recently, with the acquisition of Intrinsic, and the development of WealthSelect.
“This rapid change of pace creates a more dynamic business.”
