Private bank names CEO, as Isle of Man firm makes c-suite change

Bank of Singapore

The private banking arm of OCBC Bank has hired Jason Moo as chief executive, effective from 6 March 2023.

He joins Bank of Singapore from Bank Julius Baer, where he was head of private banking for southeast Asia and branch manager for Singapore.

Moo succeeds Bahren Shaari, who retired on 31 December 2022 after 13 years with Bank of Singapore.

Vincent Choo assumed the role of interim chief executive on 1 January 2023.

International Financial Group Ltd (IFGL)

The Isle of Man-based firm has named Rebecca Sowerby as chief compliance officer, according to her Linkedin profile.

Sowerby was previously risk and compliance officer at the firm.

She will replace Cathy Dawson, who has retired from the company after 20 years at IFGL.

Dawson joined IFGL in 2002. She will continue as a non-exec on a couple of IFGL subsidiaries.

Novia Global

Scott Sinclair has been appointed as the operations director at the platform.

He joins Novia Global from Hargreaves Lansdown, where he was senior operations manager.

Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA)

Rupert Keeley has joined the board of directors of the UAE regulator.

Keeley brings over 40 years of international experience in financial services, having held several senior leadership roles at PayPal, Visa, and Standard Chartered.

He is currently an adviser to several financial services companies, including the NatWest Group.

Medvida

The Spanish life consolidator has appointed Jaime Kirkpatrick as managing director of CNP Partners, which has been renamed Medvida Partners, having completed the purchase of 100% of the company on 29 December 2022.

Jaime Kirkpatrick joined Medvida in September last year to prepare for the integration and business transformation of CNP Partners.

He was previously deputy managing director of transformation at Mutua Madrileña, and previously director of bancassurance and chief executive of Aegon Spain.

Trive

The multi-asset investment platform has named Dennis Austinat as its Dach region managing director.

Austinat joins Trive from eToro, where he was managing director and head of Germany, Austria and Switzerland for six years.

PensionBee

The firm has hired Rebecca O’Connor as director of public affairs.

O’Connor was previously head of pensions and savings at Interactive Investor.

Highvern

The financial services provider has appointed Colm Clifford as its Irish independent non-executive director.

He will join the board alongside Ireland country head, Philip Dempsey, and fellow directors Emma Keane and Adrian Bailie, to strengthen the Irish proposition in its fund services business.

Clifford is a former KPMG audit partner of over 25 years, holding various senior leadership roles specialising in the financial services.
