US in the news: SageView Advisory Group buys Illinois wealth firm

SageView Advisory Group

The independent RIA firm has agreed to buy Illinois-based Lakeview Wealth Management for an undisclosed sum.

Lakeview Wealth Management, which oversees $415m (£368m, €426m) in client assets, offers retirement and financial planning services.

The entire six-woman Lakeview Wealth Management Team will join SageView as part of the acquisition.

The transaction is expected to close by 1 Dec 2022.

People moves

UBS Wealth Management USA

Sequoia Partners has joined the wealth manager in Irvine, California.

The team is led by financial advisers Howard Woo and Luke Schell and also includes client service associate Cyntia Lopez.

They join from Merrill Lynch.

Argos Wealth Advisors

The firm has expanded its footprint in the east coast with the hire of Dan Hayes as a senior wealth adviser.

Before Argos, Hayes served as a senior client adviser at Bessemer Trust for over 20 years.

Rockefeller Capital Management

Ohio-based The Mooney Stanley Group has joined the Rockefeller Global Family Office.

The team is led by managing director John Mooney, and includes Zac Stanley, first vice president, Linda McGann, vice president, and Gretchen Harris, associate vice president.

The four-member group joins from UBS.

Raymond James

The wealth firm has hired a team of 17 financial advisers and professionals in Reston, Virginia.

Operating as The Wise Investor Group of Raymond James, the team previously managed $2.9bn in client assets at Baird.
