PEOPLE MOVES: Utmost International, Tenet Group, Chubb

Duo to leave insurer, while adviser support network names managing director

Utmost International

David Denton has announced that he will shortly be leaving the insurance firm, according to his Linkedin profile.

He spent eight years with Quilter International as head of technical sales and head of sales Europe.

Denton moved to Utmost after it bought Quilter International in November 2021.

Also, Paul Schrijver has announced that he will shortly be leaving Utmost International, according to his Linkedin profile.

He spent nearly 23 years at Quilter International as tax and trust specialist.

Utmost said in a statement that the firm “thanks them for their support and wishes them well for the future”.

Tenet Group

The UK financial adviser support network has promoted Steve Jones to managing director and named Rosie Shearer as business support team leader for Tenet Network Services.

Shearer has re-joined Tenet after first joining the company over 10 years ago.

Chubb

Bryce Johns has been appointed senior vice president of Chubb Group and president of Chubb Life.

He will join the company from HSBC, where he served most recently as global chief executive of HSBC Life and insurance partnerships.

Johns will have executive responsibility for Chubb’s international life insurance business.

He succeeds Russell Bundschuh, who is leaving the company in January to pursue other interests.

Credit Suisse

The banking group has named Pablo Carrasco as head of wealth management Iberia.

He has been with Credit Suisse for some 15 years covering a number of wealth management roles. Most recently, he has been leading the team driving the bank’s efforts with family offices in Europe.

Carrasco will succeed Concepción Gómez de Liaño, who has been leading Iberia wealth management on an ad interim basis following the departure of Iñigo Martos in mid-December.

J O Hambro Capital Management (JOHCM)

The asset manager has named Jonathan Rudling as distribution business manager – UK, Europe and Asia.

He most recently served as head of client solutions strategy and research at Aviva Investors.

Ocean Dial Asset Management

The London-based investment company has hired Swati Jain as global head of sales and distribution.

Prior to her joining Ocean Dial, Jain worked for Kratos Capital, IIFL Wealth, Ashburton Investments, Kotak and HSBC.

iM Global Partner

David Barfoot has been appointed as director for the UK, Channel Islands and Ireland at the asset management network.

He was most recently head of UK sales for Rize ETF.

James Hambro and Partners (JH&P)

The wealth manager has named Chris Hardie as a financial planning specialist in its Scottish office.

Hardie was previously a financial planner at Seven Investment Management (7IM).

Guernsey Finance

The promotional agency for the island has strengthened its strategy and technical team with the appointment of Henry Freeman as a strategic adviser.

He has held several senior and board level roles over a 20-year career in investment banking, fund management and fintech in London and the Channel Islands.
