He spent 30 years working at the various iterations of the company

Global sales director Brendan Dolan has stepped down from Quilter International, two days after the completion of its sale to Utmost Group.

According to a post of LinkedIn, he said: “It is time for a change.”

Dolan has been with the company since its Royal Skandia days and witnessed its subsequent transformation into Old Mutual International and, ultimately, Utmost.

During his 30-year career at the firm, he spent 20 of them living outside the UK.

More to come

“I have had the fortune of working with so many incredibly talented people over the years,” Dolan wrote on the social media platform. “The business has been truly global and having the pleasure of dealing with such a diverse range of people and cultures around the world has been invaluable, and is at the root of my own growth and development.”

He thanked his colleagues and contacts for their “support on this journey”, which is not yet at an end.

“What’s next? Certainly, a welcome break with my family, enjoying the festive period over the next few weeks. Then in the new year, I’ll start to look at where the next part of this journey will take me,” he added.

People moves

Dolan is the second high-profile departure from the Isle of Man-headquartered life company, since it was acquired by local rival Utmost Group.

Chief executive Peter Kenny stepped down from the business when the deal closed on 30 November.
