Insurance giant makes c-suite changes, private bank poaches client adviser from HSBC PB

Generali

The Italian insurance giant has named several changes to its managerial team.

Sandro Panizza takes up a newly created role, group chief insurance and investment officer, effective 1 March 2021.

Carlo Trabattoni is promoted to chief executive of asset and wealth management, a new business unit created effective 1 March 2021.

Bruno Scaroni becomes group chief transformation officer, a newly established role, integrating responsibilities linked to strategy with operations and the digital and technological transformation, effective 1 February 2021.

Giancarlo Fancel, currently chief financial officer of country Italy and global business lines, takes up the role of group chief risk officer, effective 1 March 2021.

Frédéric de Courtois, the current general manager, will leave the group on 1 February 2021 and Timothy Ryan, current group chief investment officer and chief executive of asset and wealth management, will leave the group on 1 March 2021.

Brown Shipley

The UK private bank has poached Sam Fearon from HSBC Private Bank to become a client adviser for its Manchester office.

Fearon joined HSBC in 2007 on the executive management training programme and spent 13 years in various client advisory roles, becoming director of its north west private banking business in 2019.

BlackRock

The investment giant has named West Lockhart as Emea head of BlackRock Alternatives Specialists (BAS) wealth.

West joined BlackRock in 2007 and was named managing director in 2010.

Boston Multi Family Office

The financial services provider has promoted of Sarah Ingrassia to managing director of its Isle of Man division, Boston Limited.

Previously client services director at Boston, Ingrassia was previously at Barclays Private Bank & Trust and EY.

She replaces Alex McNee, who now becomes Boston Group chief operating officer.

AllianceBernstein

The investment firm has named Jan Heyer as sales director in the Dach sales team.

Heyer was most recently at Man Group where he had been for six years.

Calamatta Cuschieri

The Maltese firm has named Claudia Rausi as head of compliance

Rausi previously served as head of credit risk at Ferratum Bank.
