Global wealth firm reports record $2bn in assets under advice

As its network membership grows 30% in 2020

Blacktower Financial Management Group has released its financial results for 2020.

The business reported record assets under advice of $2bn (£1.47bn, €1.65bn) and a 30% increase in its advisory network membership in 2020.

This comes after the firm expanded its network Nexus Global into the US and UK last year, as well as partnering with Guernsey-based investment management firm Nova Wealth to launch Channel Islands DFM joint venture Nexus Portfolio Management.

‘Astonishing goals’

John Westwood, founder and group managing director of Blacktower, said: “In the face of a tumultuous year, it is a combination of resilience, agility and impermeable compliance that has facilitated the achievement of this incredible milestone for Blacktower.

“We are proud to be celebrating Blacktower’s 35th birthday this month, and while we acknowledge the privilege of being in a position to share such positive news, by no means is it a by-product of luck or good fortune.

“Indeed, to weather the challenges faced by many in 2020, astute planning and robust frameworks have been absolutely imperative. Furthermore, it is a credit to our outstanding advisers to have achieved these astonishing goals in such challenging times.”

Blacktower recently hired Gavin Pluck as group director to expand the firm’s “licensing footprint into further jurisdictions”.
